IBM Employee Volunteers’ Training

•Background

- In 2011, IBM celebrated its 100th anniversary via global volunteering services and accordingly established its regional employee volunteers’ associations. However, the associations’ capabilities varied across different places. Starting from 2011, IBM hired CCiA to conduct training for employee volunteers to improve the capability of volunteers and volunteers’ organizations.

•CCIA’s services and results

- Conducted training for IBM employee volunteers leaders in China in 2011 and organized nonprofit leaders to communicate with employee volunteers, marking a new era of IBM’s philanthropic work.

- Conducted 2016 IBM “Cooperating for Future” volunteer support training a.k.a. annual volunteering summit; empowered different levels of volunteers through training and encouragement, which greatly motivated employees’ participation in volunteering activities.
